The first Annual General Meeting of the new Friends of Lambeth Palace Library charity (formally Lambeth Palace Library Development Trust and Friends CIO) will be held at the Library and online on Wednesday 30 September 2026 at 2pm.
The Agenda is below. There will be an illustrated lecture on heraldry in the Vaux Psalter, one of the treasures of the Library, by Dr Margaret Joachim. After the lecture Friends are invited to a special viewing of the Psalter in the Reading Room. Tea will be served at 4pm.
Members should email membership@flpl.org.uk if they wish to attend in person or online (joining instructions for online will be sent nearer the date.) Admission at the new library building, 15 Lambeth Palace Road, SE1 7JT. Please allow 15 minutes to reach your seat.
AGENDA
1. The Chair, Richard Linenthal, to open the Annual General Meeting. The Chair to introduce the new Friends organisation established on 1st April 2026, of which this is the first AGM.
2. The Chair to propose the election of Rohan Armes as Treasurer of the Friends.
3. The Chair to note the retirement of three trustees of the Friends: Dr David McKitterick, Professor Diarmaid MacCulloch, and His Honour Judge Peter Wright.
4. The Chair to propose the appointment of Mr. Gregory Stevenson, FCA, of Knox Cropper, Chartered Accountants, 65 Leadenhall Street, London EC3A 2AD, as independent examiner.
5. The Head of the Library, Pip Willcox, to report on current work in the Library.
6. Any other business.
7. The Chair to introduce the speaker Dr. Margaret Joachim. 8. The Chair to adjourn the meeting for a private viewing of the Vaux-Bardolf Psalter in the Library’s reading room, followed by tea.
